Tech Consultancy Call
£120 · 1 hour · video call
I help with the technical stuff small businesses run into every day — websites, software, cloud storage, and the practical side of digital marketing — tracking, tools, and whether any of it is actually working. One focused call to get a straight answer and a clear next step.
People usually get in touch when they are trying to make better decisions, sense-check something before they commit more time or money, or get unstuck on something specific. It is a focused hour to talk through your situation and get clarity from someone who has spent ten years building for real businesses — client websites, internal tools, and the practical side of digital marketing. You do not need the right terminology; that is what the call is for.
How it works
- Apply — complete a short questionnaire so I understand what you need
- Review — I read every application personally (usually within one or two working days)
- Book — if we are a good fit, I will email you with next steps to arrange and pay for your call
Sometimes I will not be the right person to help — or the call will not be the right format. That is deliberate. I would rather be honest before you pay, not after.
What we can use the call for
- Everyday tech — email, domains, files, software, security basics, the stuff that eats your week
- Website advice — what is broken, what to fix first, whether a quote or rebuild is reasonable
- Digital marketing support — tracking, analytics, tool choices, and campaigns explained without the fluff
Typical topics also include cloud storage chaos, sensible backups, practical AI where it saves time, and a second opinion before you hire an agency or sign a contract.
Sound familiar?
A few of the situations people usually apply about — you do not need to match one exactly.
-
Outgrown your website builder?
You started on Wix, Squarespace, or GoDaddy and something is not working anymore. You want a straight second opinion on whether to rebuild, migrate, or stick with what you have.
-
Stuck in repetitive workflows?
The same manual tasks every week — copy-pasting, reformatting, chasing information — and you suspect automation or AI could help, but you do not know where to start.
-
Business basics not sorted?
Professional email, domain and DNS that make sense, client scheduling — the foundations that should be simple but somehow are not.
-
Data storage and backups
Files scattered across laptops, drives, and cloud accounts, with no clear plan for what happens if something breaks or someone leaves.
-
Curious about AI, but cautious?
You keep hearing you should be using AI tools, but you want to know what is actually safe, sensible, and worth the effort for a business like yours.
Who this is for
- Small business owners or ops and marketing leads who handle tech by default
- People who want direct answers, not a slide deck or a retainer pitch
- Anyone who would rather say “I am not sure how this works” than pretend they do
What this is not
- Ongoing IT support or unlimited access after the call
- Hands-on build work during the session — the goal is clarity; implementation can be quoted separately if needed
- Legal or compliance sign-off
- A sales call — this is a paid consultancy session on its own terms
What happens after
Some people leave with a clear plan and handle it themselves. Sometimes we spot something bigger — a proper audit, a rebuild, or follow-up help — and I will tell you straight. There is never any obligation to go further; only honest recommendations.
Before you apply
- Start with the short questionnaire — I will let you know if I think a call is the right next step
- Sessions are £120 for one hour, paid upfront before we meet
- Delivered by video call; meeting details sent once we have agreed to go ahead
- If I do not think I can help, I will tell you honestly — no hard feelings
About me
I am Richard Henney — Web & Technical Lead at Ellodave, a Staffordshire creative agency. Ten years there, from design and front-end to leading digital delivery across 20+ client sites and the internal tools behind them.
This consultancy is separate from my agency work: one hour, plain English, for small businesses who need someone sensible in their corner.
Ready to apply?
The questionnaire takes a few minutes. I will let you know either way — and if we are a good fit, I will email you with next steps.
